Metro 411 Retro

When we started the Metro 411 Radio network, we were literally playing Christmas music 24/7.  Then we started piecing together our favorite  types of music and tried to mesh them together which was really difficult.  At the end of May 2024, we trimmed Metro 411 Radio to 80s, 90s, and 2000s.  It seemed to mesh well, but our oldies audience let us know they felt left out.

Through trade, bater and acquisition, we launched this station June 30, 2024 and we are still uploading the music library. and setting up programming.

We will get our station submitted to the free online radio system soon, and it will take time for us to get found.  Because of the overhead, we will not submit Metro 411 Retro to the pricier networks till we have a large enough listener base and sponsors.

If you click the "pop out" icon in the upper right corner of the player, you can continue listening while you explore our website.

If you want to share our station on social media, click the share icon (also in the upper right corner).

The symbol left of this box is an example of the "pop out" icon.

Mini Site - Mini App

We don't have a fully integrated app (yet), but we have created a mini site to help connect you to Metro 411 Radio on your phone or tablet.  This does not have to be installed nor does it collect data from your phone.

Simply scan the QR code which will open in your devices web browser and you will be able to select which of our stations you want to listen to.

There are also links to our social media, our full website and more.

How to pin site to your device's home page

Since we use a mini "web site" as an "app," you may want to pin it to your home screen.

We have an Amazon Echo Show 5 in the studio for testing.  To play our station, we simply say  "Alexa, play Metro Four One One Retro" or "Alexa, play Metro Four One One Retro on TuneIn"

It worked with the "Hey Disney" device at a Disney Resort.  It was exciting!

The Amazon Alexa devices default to the TuneIn Free app to stream our station unless you have a premium subscription.

These commands work with every Amazon Alexa/Dot device we have tested
